- Our scheduling system allows relief veterinarians to request their preferred shifts ahead of time, with postings available 4-6 months in advance.
- Once registered and account has been approved. You'll find the Pet Care center you wish to request shifts at. Select the dates, and we'll send confirmation on the shifts. You will be on our team for approval!
- Each Relief Doctor is backed by highly skilled veterinary nurses, guaranteeing a synergistic team effort and fostering a culture of collaboration. Everyone on the team is Fear Free certified and practices using low-stress techniques.
- To ensure a smooth payment cycle, we kindly ask that you submit your invoices via email within 7 days of the shift. This enables us to process payments promptly and maintain precise financial records. We operate on a Net15 payment term.
- Petfolk is open to serve the community every day of the week. From Monday to Sunday, our doors are open from 8:00am to 6:00pm. We do also have half day shifts available that are either advertised or upon request!
- As a Relief Veterinarian, surgery is not mandatory. If you're passionate about it, we invite you to work a few shifts, familiarize yourself with the team and workflow, and then, after a brief conversation, we can consider adding you to the surgery schedule.
- Our virtual care team serves as an invaluable extension of your on-site team. They handle all incoming calls, schedule appointments, collect medical records, assist with call backs, and are always ready to collaborate on any case that arises. With their unwavering support, you can rest assured that you will always have the guidance and resources available to make sure the care you are providing is top notch.
